A shared commitment to our city’s future

La Salle exists to improve life chances for young people and families in some of Liverpool’s most disadvantaged communities – using food, growing and hospitality as powerful tools for change.

Through hands-on learning, mentoring and real-world experience, we help people build skills, confidence and ambition, opening doors into meaningful work and long-term progression within the hospitality sector – an industry that is vital to the city’s economy, yet facing a serious shortage of skilled future talent.

Who we support

We work with children, young people and adults who face barriers to education, training and employment – often linked to deprivation, poor health, low confidence or limited access to opportunity.

From early engagement with children and teenagers, through to practical skills training for young adults, our programmes are designed to create clear, achievable pathways into further education, accredited training and employment.

We don’t just teach skills – we help people believe in their own potential.

Why hospitality matters

Hospitality is one of the UK’s most accessible and resilient industries, offering real progression, transferable skills and long-term careers. It is also fundamental to Liverpool’s cultural identity and economic future.

By training local people for local roles, we are helping to build a skilled workforce from within our own communities – strengthening the sector while creating lasting social impact.

The La Salle × NORD collaboration

In 2025, NORD, supported by GSG Hospitality, became a founding partner in La Salle’s fundraising journey.

This collaboration was created to do more than donate – it was designed to help build long-term capacity and resilience at La Salle, enabling us to grow sustainably and deepen our impact.

Funds raised through this partnership support:

  • The employment of a Garden Manager, enabling us to expand and maintain our growing projects
  • A new Operations & Development Manager, strengthening organisational capacity and future fundraising
  • Essential running costs, including energy, ensuring our facilities remain open and accessible
  • The development of growing projects that supply fresh, seasonal produce directly into NORD, creating a hyper-local supply chain rooted in community benefit

Why your support matters

Every contribution – including optional £1 pledges made by NORD restaurant customers – helps us continue this work.

Your support enables us to:

  • Reach more young people earlier
  • Provide consistent, high-quality learning environments
  • Create real routes into employment
  • Strengthen a sector that depends on skilled, motivated people

Small acts of generosity, repeated many times, create meaningful, lasting change.

Thank you

This collaboration is only possible because of the generosity of GSG Hospitality, NORD and guests like you.

By choosing to support La Salle, you are helping to grow futures, strengthen communities and invest in the next generation of hospitality talent – right here in our city.
